The question I’m most frequently asked by those visiting the blog and who are familiar with my stuff is what is it that you exactly do? You can’t just be giving great stuff away and that’s it!

Absolutely right I say; but if you’ve been following my blog posts you’ll know why I’m doing things the way I am and why I’m focused on providing local internet marketing services.

I do for my own firm what I talk about doing in all my videos. I practice what I preach; that’s why I know that what I talk about works. I know where you can get tripped up and I know where you can waste an awful lot of time and energy. I know because I’ve been there; got the badge.

I provide my clients with the support to do exactly the same as I do to take my business forward using local internet marketing using online video and the social media; just as I talk about in the videos.

We recommend that we also prepare pod cast versions of each of the videos as itunes is a great supplier of high ranking positions if the keyword optimisation’s done well

Having prepared the videos and pod casts and often audo presentations as well, we upload them on to our own platform and across the web using all the main upload channels to maximise the likely hood of multiple rankings

Then we social bookmark at sites like delicious, all we produce; this gives great exposure, direct hits back to your site and back links.

Then we help using a mix of initiatives to help the campaign along; maybe using online press releases; forum contributions and article submissions; all of which are great for backlinks and direct hits back to your site.

One of the really, really big areas were we help is with the shaping up of arrangements to get target prospects onto your list and then developing a communications programme, using an autoresponder to keep in touch. People need at least a half a dozen quality ‘touches’ before they’re ready to buy; this means these need planning;

Getting people onto your list, using a squeeze page, following the use of a mix of online marketing intiatives is the key; having got their name and email address you can then start to nurture them. You do this by providing them with all the information, advice and support they need to address their concerns.

And by doing this you not only establish a relationship but you also start the all important trust building process. Then when the time is right for the prospect and they have a need of your professional services you’re the natural choice.

We’ll often undertake both an on and offsite SEO review based on a 110 point analysis; then having completed this we typically help to implement initiatives to overcome any shortcomings we’ve found; which often means things like changing website title tags, headings, picture tags, page titles and rewriting page copy focused on high lighting 2 or 3 keywords or keyword phrases per page.

But before you ask do you design websites? No we don’t, we work with you, your suppliers and your people on this one.

Often times we get into signing the firm up onto online directories; a simple and highly effective way to build backlinks.

We help you to write and then upload articles onto article directories which not only drive visitors back to your site but also creat high value, high PR, backlinks to individual pages of your website based on the focused use of the keywords you’ve targetted, for each page;

Which of course brings us around to supporting clients with the setting up of a blog; usually a template based wordpress blog. Many firms don’t have one. You should.

But it has to work in concert with all your online video and social media marketing initiatives; if done well its where you pull everything together. We really add value here!

As a priority we can also help to set up and populate each of the main social media entities; as a minimum these usually include: Facebook, LinkedIn and twitter, which you may or may not have in place and which you may or may not be using to good effect;

How far we go beyond this in the local internet marketing context using other social media utilities is an open book; my advice is always, first, lets get the big three working well, up front; thats the priority; we can build out after that.

Then there’s the offline marketing. All that you’ve been doing in the past hasn’t all failed. Various initiatives will still be working well. Your local internet marketing needs to be supported offline.

In the shaping up of online intiatives your planning needs to take into account how things can tie into offline initiatives; be it networking, presentations at seminars, referrals, teleseminars or telephone sales whatever.

As ever everything needs to be working in concert; be it at the simple level of geting all the online information onto business cards right through to maybe shaping a traditional incentivised direct mail campaign designed to link prospects into your onine marketing campaigns. The key to effective local internet marketing is the co-ordination of each of your campaign initiatives.

Always we provide advice and support in regards to the setting up of performance review arrangements so you can monitor your local internet marketing campaign’s progress.

Then there is the provision of our ‘coaching service’. This is where we help you, or maybe one,two or three of your team, to get on top of the whole local internet marketing thing; by which I mean the optimal use of, blogging, online video and social media marketing, the use of forums, directories, press releases, campaign development etc. You need your team to be on top of this and we can help them to be so

The coaching service is designed for a minimum 6 month period with ongoing monthly support for a further 6 months Over 1 year all the initial effort is cemented and over time confidence and competence builds with someone always in the background when a helping hand or advice is needed.

This means that you’re not constantly having to bring in suppliers, such as ourselves, to make videos develop campaigns and monitor progress; when you can be doing things for yourselves.

But that said then we have the consideration as to whether you want ongoing support thereafter; which may include: keeping you updated with new ideas for local internet marketing, helping you shape up radical local internet marketing initiatives; informing you of what to be doing and what not to be doing as the internet and software evolves, maybe you do want support in the ongoing preparation of new videos and the development of social media campaigns; its all an open book.

The reality is that local internet marketing is an ever moving feast and it can never be said that you’re done. As soon as you’re settled into one approach and it seems to be working well then new and better ways come along; simply meaning you have to stay on top of things. … thats where our extended monthly coaching support comes into play.

And know this promotions or one offs don’t crack it; you have to be building on a campaign basis; local internet marketing can only work on this basis.

Then there must be ongoing monitoring of progress over time; what works will be shaped up further, what doesn’t is faded out.

Well as you can see from the list of things I’ve just introduced the answer must be : It depends.

Those of you who have been to the site and seen early attempts at putting a sample price schedule will have some idea of the fees I charge. This sample approach is no longer being used as it fits no one and I found it to be creating the wrong ideas; people were starting at the wrong end; the price.

But I know the price is an important factor.

If you want a price range then a small starter campaign with a small number of intitiatives will be around £2000.

An integrated campaingn will start around £8-10,000 and coaching costs from £4000 to £6000.

As two final riders let me firstly say this. I keep my eyes open and watch the competion in all their guises and I guess you might have done too. Please don’t think the prices you see quoted at the agencies such as £4-6,000 per video apply when using our services; they don’t.

I aim to offer an exceptional service at truly exceptional rates. I don’t have high overheads; my investment goes in other areas directly related to providing an excpetional service for you.

And secondly because we help our clients in their area to get to the top of the search engines for the optimal keywords they’re targeting we only work with one business type in each geographic area; usually we look at things on a county by county basis but often this is larger than this. Why because you can’t get two firms in the same geographic area offering the same product to the top of the organic search lists. This is the essence of local internet marketing.
